Exminster Village Orchard lies beside Main Road between the Primary School and Exminster Garage. It was created by Exminster Greenspaces on an unused former allotment site from 2016.

It’s a relatively small area but there are just over 30 trees, mostly apple, and the initial plantings were largely west country varieties such as Devon Quarrendon, Duke of Devonshire, Exeter Cross and Devon Cross. There are also some plums, pears and a nice quince tree.

The site is managed organically with added wildlife features including hedge planting, hedge laying, wild flower meadow management and creating reptile refuges.
There have been some good community events based at the orchard including big wassail events and a session with the local cubs.
