Events and Courses
Orchard Link offers members a range of events and training days throughout the year.
What we offer...
Training courses vary with the seasons and include pruning, grafting, cider making and orchard management. Events include visits to orchards and cider makers, a members’ annual gathering, talks, presentations and demonstrations. Our current programme is listed here. Detailed information is provided for each event - just click on "more info".
Courses requiring booking and payment in advance
Where an Orchard Link course or event requires you to book a place, instructions for this are given with a link to the on-line booking form. If a fee is payable, you will need to follow the link from the booking form to the Paypal page and pay on booking using your Paypal account if you have one, or with your debit or credit card.
Note that course bookings will not be accepted without payment. Your course fee is non-refundable if you cancel with less than one week’s notice before the date of the course or if you fail to show up on the day. However, if for some reason a course has to be cancelled by Orchard Link, we will refund your booking fee in full.
Our co-coordinator will confirm your booking and send you more information about a week before the course including directions to the course venue.
Events and courses run by other groups
From time to time we may list activities and courses run by other organisations: these will be clearly labelled as External Events, and the responsibility for running them, and for handling any queries or bookings, will rest with them and not with Orchard Link.
Orchard Link members qualify for members’ discount when attending Orchards Live courses, our sister organisation in north Devon. The Tavy and Tamar Apple Group also runs a programme. You can find out more by following these links to their websites.
