Orchard Link offers members a range of events and training days throughout the year.
Covid Update: Good News!
With the easing of restrictions, and subject to government guidelines in place at the time, we’ll be resuming in-person courses and events from June onwards.
We are currently working on the details of a programme for the rest of this year, the outline of which can be found by clicking here, or by clicking on the News tab at the top of the screen.
Further detail will be added as we confirm venues and dates and you’ll be able to book onto individual events as they are posted on the Courses and Events page.
After such a long and enforced lull, we’re really looking forward to being able to meet, catch up with everyone’s Orchard activities and continue our mission to save and revive existing orchards and develop new ones.

What we offer…
Training courses vary with the seasons and include pruning, grafting, cider making and orchard management. Events include visits to orchards and cider makers, a members’ annual gathering, talks, presentations and demonstrations. Our current programme is listed here. Detailed information is provided for each event – just click on the event for full details. Events that are fully subscribed are bordered in red, but see below for a means of getting on the waiting list. Please note that courses and events are open to members and non-members, but members are entitled to a discount if a fee is payable..
Courses requiring booking and payment in advance
Where an Orchard Link course or event requires you to book a place, there will be tickets listed on the course page. Please choose the appropriate category and the number of tickets required and follow through to the PayPal payment page. Please note that online bookings can only be paid for through the PayPal page; you will need a PayPal account or use a credit or debit card.
If the course is fully subscribed (bordered in red), please select an RSVP to join the waiting list. You will receive a confirmation of this RSVP and should attendees cancel, we will contact those who have registered an RSVP in the order that they did. Please note, joining the waiting list incurs an expectation of payment and attendance if a place becomes available.
Note that course bookings will not be accepted without payment. Your course fee is non-refundable if you cancel with less than one week’s notice before the date of the course or if you fail to show up on the day. Orchard Link reserves the right to cancel events at short notice. Participants will be informed of the cancellation and when possible the event will be rescheduled. In this case participants will be eligible for a full refund should they be unable to attend or wish to cancel.
You will receive an automatic confirmation of your booking and the event coordinator will send you more information about a week before the course including directions to the course venue. Should you not receive confirmation please Email Events
Events and courses run by other groups
From time to time we may list activities and courses run by other organisations: these will be clearly labelled as External Events, and the responsibility for running them, and for handling any queries or bookings, will rest with them and not with Orchard Link. A link to their website will be provided.
Orchard Link members qualify for members’ discount when attending Orchards Live courses, our sister organisation in north Devon.
